Description
This original Padmé Amidala painting takes its subject from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. I was drawn to the striking ceremonial look: the headpiece, the red makeup and the expression beneath it.
For this cinematic portrait, I worked with purple, red and green to bring out the gold of the headpiece. I left some areas loose and unfinished rather than painting every costume detail. Even tiny adjustments to the eyes changed the whole expression.
