If you have any questions about purchasing an original artwork or a reproduction prints, or in case you are unsure how the terms and conditions apply to your order, please get in contact with me. Ordering
Artwork by Bart Carels is available to purchase online (web shop or e-mail) or by telephone.

Prints
All prints are shipped within 3-7 business days, but delivery may depend on the carrier. Generally, prints/posters are shipped in a sturdy tube.

PostNL or UPS usually take care of delivery within the Netherlands and UPS, TNT or DHL for international shipments. Your order is usually dispatched within 10 working days, but in some cases it may take up to 3 weeks to arrive at your address. Note that international customs charges are the buyers responsibility.

If you notice any damage on package delivery, you can either refuse the shipment (as damaged – return to sender) or you can have the delivery company mark the tracking (as received damaged, subject to further inspection). Please file the claim immediately! You also must keep all boxes and packing material in its original state. When you get in contact with me, you will need the tracking number of your package, a description of the damage and the value of the package). Take photos of the damaged package and e-mail them to info@bartcarels.com, together with a description and the actions you have taken

Commissioned artwork
After I discussed a commission with a client, I will provide the client with a specification, an estimated period of delivery and a price, which will include a price for delivery. Please note that my artworks must be paid for in € (EUR). When you complete the transaction in a different currency, this may result in price changes due to currency rate fluctuations.

A deposit is required for all commissions and is non-refundable. Work starts only after a deposit is received. On paying your deposit you are entering into a contract with the artist for the provision of an artwork, agreeing to the specification provided by Bart Carels and to pay the total price quoted at a date to be agreed. You are also agreeing to the terms and conditions visible on this page.

Once a deposit is received, a charge may be applicable to change the specifications of your artwork. While the artist will always try and incorporate changes required by the customer, they may not always be possible after work on a piece has started.

Paying for your commissioned artwork
On completion of your artwork, you will be sent an invoice for the outstanding balance by e-mail which must be paid in € (EUR) within 5 working days. On receipt of your final payment, Bart Carels will make arrangements for the delivery of your artwork.

Returns and cancellations – customised and commissioned items
Under your contract with Bart Carels, the supply of goods (your artwork) is made specifically to meet your specifications and therefore your order cannot be cancelled after it has been ordered.

In the highly unlikely event your commission does not match your specification or when you believe there may be issues with the quality of the product, Bart Carels will try to resolve the situation to your satisfaction as quickly as possible. Please contact him to explain your specific queries and agree a course of action.

Returns and cancellations – non-customised and non-commissioned items
If you wish to return any non-commissioned items purchased from Bart Carels, they must be returned within 7 days of receipt for a refund. Items must be in their original state. You are responsible for ensuring the item is returned to Bart Carels in its original state and without any damage. Delivery charges are not refunded. Bart Carels will refund the cost of the item in full, however, please note that if you paid for the item using PayPal, PayPal may charge you for return of funds and any charge incurred is no covered by Bart Carels.

In the unlikely event there is an issue with the quality of the product or it is not the product ordered, Bart Carels will try to resolve the situation to your satisfaction as quickly as possible. Please contact him to explain your specific queries and agree a course of action.

Privacy Policy
This website does not collect any personal information other than that entered by those purchasing products. Any information provided to purchase a product is solely used for that purpose and is not disclosed to any third party. Credit card details are only retained as required by the processing company to demonstrate approval for the transaction was provided by clients.
